In the never ending search for the perfect mascara I bought this one. Every Bourjois product I've bought I've really liked...until this one. I was in a hurry when I bought this so part of the reason I don't like this was already predetermined but I'll get onto that later.
What it says: Killer volume, no lumps guaranteed! The new volumizer mascara works in just 2 steps to build up to 11x more volume, clump free.
What I thought: When I picked this up I just read Volumizer and thought "Woop, volumising mascara this will be great" what I should have read was the 'two steps' part that made me hate it. I am pretty patient when it comes to mascara and often put 2-3 coats of the stuff on my eyelashes every day. So the 2 steps thing shouldn't be a problem right? Wrong. So very wrong. The first step is a small, defined lash brush that as I just said defines your lashes and basically primes them with a little colour. I'm sure it's great for some people but for me it was just a wasted 5 minutes of my morning. Step 2 is a volumising mascara brush which is pretty much like every other one on the market. It isn't great nor is it really terrible, just, mediocre.
Repurchase Verdict: No. While the idea of a '2 Step Mascara' may have seemed like a genius idea to the developers in practice it's just a time wasting process in my opinion. The mascara didn't provide any amazing results (I'll update this post with a photo later) and I can't say it left me thinking 'Wow, gotta run out and buy another one' like this mascara did here. I don't recommend this at all, if you've tried this and thought it was amazing let me know maybe I'm just being pessimistic and shooting it down too quickly.
