I've been attempting to grow my hair for the last 6 years or so which has resulted in me getting fed up of how long it's taking and cutting it off a couple times but I'm finally sticking with it. Since I'm growing my hair I only go for trims every couple of months to cut off the dead ends and make sure it's still relatively healthy. I've been using quite a few different hair brushes to see which one is the best and thought I'd give this one a review for you all.
I first heard about this from Zoella a youtube/blogger who is absolutely adorable, seriously so cute. She raves about how Tangle Teezers are so amazing because they get rid of any tangles and leave your hair super shiny, so when I saw them in the salon I go to I decided to treat myself.
I naturally decided to pick the brightest, neon-ist, fluorescent coloured one I could find because that will definitely help my hair (what?!) but it looks cute!
Note: I have the Salon Elite version of the Tangle Teezer which retails for GBP 11.20
What it says: Salon Elite gives professional results in the palm of your hand. Detangling wet and dry hair without any tugs or pulls, it has an innovative centralised concave design that delivers firm, salon style brush strokes from roots to end.
What I thought: I do not normally have tangled hair, my hair is smooth and tangle free 99% of the time but the other week it was more tangled than something really tangled. So I decided to give the Tangle Teezer a go and get rid of the tangles painlessly and easily. I used this on wet hair with nasty tangles and it didn't work, in fact it probably hurt my head more than a normal hair brush. So I resorted to using my go-to hair brush (a Boots own brand) and that got rid of them with a couple tugs. However, that being said I do still use my Tangle Teezer but on dry hair that has already been brushed. On dry hair the Tangle Teezer, for me, is amazing. It leaves my hair tangle free and smooth with no fly aways.
Re-purchase verdict: No. I wouldn't recommend this to someone who had seriously tangle prone hair because for me (at least) it didn't help at all. However, if you are after a small, compact little hair brush for putting in your hand bag I do recommend you buy the Tangle Teezer because on dry hair, it's perfect!
