I bought this for my mum the other day because her mascara had run out. I've not heard about this particular one before but I love mascara by Bourjois so decided that since my mum is forever telling me that her eyelashes are really thin now she's older that a volume maximising one would be perfect. I've also never heard of a battery powered mascara brush, weird right?
So a rotating mascara brush sounds pretty weird but awesome at the same time. I'm terrible at rotating the mascara brush near my lashes I always end up getting it all over my eyelid and ruining any eye shadow that I've just applied (ergh!) so this is a win-win for me purely on that but it gets better...
What it says: The new auto rotating brush instantly and evenly wraps around each lash for a false lash volume effect in 30 seconds flat. The brush rotates 360 and coats lashes from root to tip with no overloading guaranteed.
What I thought: This is ah-mazing! Like it deserves it's own award and little shelving unit in every woman's make up draw. I have pretty average lashes, they aren't long or short and they aren't thick nor are they thin, just pretty average. So a mascara has to do the whole volumising and lengthening thing for me to be happy with it and I'm more than happy with this. I'll admit the idea of a rotating brush going near my eye kind of scared me a little, I mean come on, how is that going to end well? But it ended up a lot better than well, it's bloomin' fantastic! It takes a lot less time than regular mascaras and gives a much better effect. The only thing that made me cringe which is due to a hate for spiders was that when the brush runs along the base of the lashes the tips of the lashes stick out and kind of 'wiggle' in time with the brush which gives a spider-leg-ish effect which freaked me out at first!
Re-purchase verdict: YES. In fact, go out and buy it right now. I give you permission. This is probably my favourite mascara of all time and I've been through more than I dare to admit. This really does give you the 'falsies' effect and I've never gotten that before with a single mascara, usually I have to use two combined to give even close to what this gave.
